For long, I had been thinking of losing that ‘half-extra’ off me but injuries kept the gymnasium waiting for its most challenging athlete — that’s me. The first day in the gym was full of nervousness of facing the weight scale. First when I met my gym instructor I thought he is there just for the sake of it but I was so wrong. 20 minutes on treadmill with an incline of 12 and speed of four km, 15 minutes on cross trainer, three sets of crunches, three sets of dumbbell side bent and few kicks left me puffed. I learnt that like you don’t challenge the existence of ghosts, you shouldn’t challenge the expertise of gym instructors who make you sweat from the tailbone. It’s now been two weeks including four-days of bunking that I am hitting the gym but I am just wondering how will I control those temptations of sweets, noodles, pizza and clearly rice. But there is one thing I like about my fitness centre — when the beautiful aunties and lovely girls, train by my side, it acts like a steroid. I workout more and I want to look good.
