Serial blasts or golden eggs
While everyone is busy ‘pretending’ to condemn the series of blasts in the country, terrorist attacks are the best tolls available to mould the circumstances in the desired direction. Good that Indian Mujahiddin and all other terrorists’ militias (unlike our Home Minister) didn’t sleep after bombing Jaipur. Had they been busy changing suits and passing on the buck for failed attempts in Surat, they wouldn’t have returned with an equal amount of brutality in Ahamdabad, Bangalore and the choked heart of country Delhi. While the blasts have embarrassed the security setup of the country and brought out the fact that even dogs die a better death than the citizens of India, everyone is busy milking the benefits of the situation. Read on to know how…

For opposition, its time to attack the Manmohan Singh government, again. Baat baat per isteefa maangte hai. Bas resignation hona chahiye, Kisi ka bhi ho — Shivraj Patil, Manmohan Singh yaa Lalu Prasad. The opposition couldn’t have desired for a better time than this. The elections are round the corner and the UPA is already facing the backlash of Nuclear Treaty, Inflation and its vote bank policies. Blasts will surely give the opposition an edge; they have always been looking for.

For television channels, it’s time to gain maximum TRPs. Since the Arushi episode has no more masala, a timely series of blasts has glued people to idiot box, which means increased visibility and better ad rates. If you differ from what I am saying then consider this. A leading news channel in one of its story included a quote where an eyewitness to the reporter says, “Kum se kum 1000 aadmi mare honge, mere saamne.” Had the channel been responsible, they would have deleted that quote from the footage. Is it some number game they are playing? There is a one liner — 47.1 % of statistics are made on the spot. In case of news channels, 99 % of the facts are made on the spot and rest one percent are made on the editing desk. Aren’t they supposed to calm the people and not create panic?

For conspiracy theory builders, its time to use those peanuts between ears and prove why Indian Mujahiddin is just a fictitious group and the blasts have more to do with pre-election political strategies than Islamic fundamentalists.

I agree with u. Every body has a take on the bomb blasts and everyone thinks, that they know who did it. Media has got a masala, which has the potenial of garnering more TRPs than the reruns or promos of COmedy King or Bigg Boss. News broadcasters have forgotten the basic job-- given a balanced view point. Delhi police recieved flak for killing the alleged terroists. Everytime we can't question our police force and say 'hey that was fake.'
